Screens, modules, software layers. Cleaner until the shared doorway becomes the problem.
THE CAR STARTS NEEDING THINGS OUTSIDE THE CAR.
Cloud services, telemetry, subscriptions, specialists, shrinking support ecosystems.
Old does not automatically mean fragile.
The Panther file matters because it breaks the easy story. A platform can become technologically obsolete while its support ecosystem gets stronger through scale, familiarity, interchange, and time.
That does not make every old car good. It means age and supportability are not the same axis.

Follow the trade
Start with the burden the old system imposed.
Safety and real capability count. Marketing sparkle does not.
Find the software, module, specialist, server, account, or scarce component now in the chain.
That is where the clever idea finally has to show its work.

If the technology really made the car better, good. It can survive the questions.
If it only made the car easier to market, monetize, track, centralize, or make absurdly expensive when one tiny thing fails — that deserves a file too.
